We looked into what was available in the area for residential apartments for retired people and attended a talk given by Bob Bessell. We were very impressed by the concept for elderly people and bought an apartment forthwith.

When we moved in, the gardens were flourishing with rape seed in flower, docks and buttercups. One of the first activities myself and other Owners did was a lot of weeding and getting shrubs and flowers to enhance the grounds.

The Board of Directors was put in place three months after we moved in and I joined as a Director and was Chair for several years. I remained on the Board for 16 years until last year, where my health sadly forced me to resign.

I have seen many people come and go and unfortunately my husband was one of them four years ago. The staff here are excellent, friendly, caring and do all they can to help.

When the pandemic hit the country, Wales had very strict rules which made living very lonely and miserable for many of us, especially those on their own.

Fortunately, after nearly three years, life is getting back to normal and we are enjoying our many social activities again.
